Voice / Data / Video
The Voice / Data / Video Distribution System provides a solid
Structured Wiring backbone for the home.
All of the wiring for the system terminates into an OnQ Structured Wiring panel.
The OnQ panel holds and
organizes all of the modules for the Voice / Data / Video system.
Cat5e cable (phone and network) and RG6 cable (video) is run from the panel
through out the home
during construction of the home. It is possible to do this after
construction where needed.
Each room will be wired up with a 4 port wall plate for data/Internet, phone
service and
hookups for cable or satellite receivers. |

A single port wall place can be located in additional locations, such as the
Master Bedroom, Office, and the Kitchen for additional phone or network service.
Each phone drop can accommodate multiple phone lines if needed. |
The OnQ panel is setup with a Linksys Cable/DSL Router with 8-Port Switch that
distributes your high-speed Internet Connection throughout the home.
A wireless Access Point can be plugged into any network port to add wireless to
the home. |

Also included in the OnQ panel is a Telecom and Video module that is the central
point to distribute your voice and video needs through-out the house.
When adding Broadband Internet, Phone, Cable or Satellite service to the home,
the installer can feed their lines into the OnQ panel for easy distribution
throughout the home.
The will be room and power in the OnQ panel for future equipment such as a
cable modem, video amplifier and a VoIP box as needed. |
